Television presenter and journalist Ruth Langsford will join an International Women’s Day lunch debate on March 8, 2024, at The Lowry Hotel, alongside west end musical theatre star Jodi Prenger, and further celebrity guests to be revealed in the coming months.

The debate panel will be hosted by the event organiser, Liz Taylor, founder of Liz Taylor Consultancy, and never one to disappoint, it will celebrate International Women’s Day by bringing together an exclusive group of high-profile, successful women to share the unique stories of their rollercoaster lives. In support of the values of International Women’s Day 2024, guests will also reveal how they have fought individual stereotypes and discriminations to rise to the pinnacle of their careers, and how they feel society can challenge stereotypes of women and celebrate women’s achievements more openly.

The event takes place on March 8, 2024, at The Lowry Hotel from 12.30pm – 3.30pm and includes a drinks reception, lunch, and guest speakers. Tickets are £100 per person. To book or for more details, please email liz@liz-taylor-consulting.co.uk

Ruth Langsford is a journalist and television presenter who has anchored leading ITV daytime shows such as This Morning and Loose Women. Ruth has also presented shows such as How the Other Half Live with husband Eamonn Holmes, and in 2020, launched her own fashion line with QVC, designed to cater for “women of a certain age” who often “feel invisible”.

Blackpool born Jodi Prenger shot to fame after winning BBC talent show I’d Do Anything in 2008, giving her the opportunity to play Nancy in a West End revival of the British musical Oliver! She has gone on to leading roles in theatre shows such as Calamity Jane, Annie and Les Misérables. In 2022, Prenger achieved a dream come true and joined the cast of Coronation Street as cruise ship singer Glenda Shuttleworth.

“The event brings together women who are all multi-faceted and multi-talented, in what promises to be a very lively and entertaining afternoon.” says organiser Liz Taylor

“Ruth, Jodi, and our other celebrity guests live in the limelight, so we all feel we know them. Well in this event, we get to the bottom of what really makes them tick!

“All the panellists have a sharp creative, business mind and have achieved immense career success. Importantly for me though, it’s also blended with their compassion, incredible humour, and a strong spirit to share and ‘give back’ to others.

“They have also each dealt with challenges, tragedy, and discrimination. So, what I am looking to uncover is how, despite this, each of them has risen to the top of their game – and are still ambitious to achieve more.”
